A heartfelt donation
Through the support of the Kelliher Charitable Trust, the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust has been able to acquire a Zoll X Series monitor. Chief Intensive Care Paramedic Karl Taylor says this monitor is one of the most critical pieces of equipment carried on board the helicopter.
Getting comfortable, being uncomfortable with 180 Degrees Trust
On the 18-20th of May 2021, the Kelliher Trust supported a 180 Degrees Adventure for young students from a Christchurch boy’s High School. The students chosen to attend this trip were hand selected by the school because they were all facing challenges in their personal lives and this was having an impact on their engagement, attendance, and behaviour at school.
Riding for the Disabled at Ambury Park Centre
Ambury Park Centre, a not for profit organisation, is nestled in an idyllic rural setting close to Mangere Mountain on the corner of Ambury Regional Park in Mangere Bridge. The Centre that comprises three programmes - Riding Therapy, a small independent Secondary School for second or third chance education and an adult Vocational programme has a licence from Auckland Council to operate on 4 hectares of Ambury Park land.

In February 2021, Kia Ū Ora – Waitematā Breast Service, a world-class diagnostic breast service that aims to save lives through faster breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, was opened at North Shore Hospital.

Blind Low Vision NZ developed a plug-in for Alexa smart speaker to deliver the library’s talking books and magazines, replacing outdated CDs.
Supporting Aviva’s Safe@home Service
Funding from Kelliher supported Aviva’s Safe@home service. Safe@home is for those at risk of repeat family violence. It provides a home security improvement service which physically makes houses safer so that adults and children do not have to leave their home to become safe.
